First half of the Year

A very enthusiastic start to 2009 for A1 Drafting.

A number of Planning Permits were achieved requiring the next phase of Building Documentation that where completed promptly and to the client's satisfaction.

When hearing of some other declines in workloads from various fields in the building industry, A1 Drafting managed to buck the trend and have been referred to by various clients and have in turn been able to provide numerous quotations, designs and documentation in the early months of 2009.

One challenging project is a fifty five square residence in Sorrento complete with suspended swimming pool. Construction commenced in March 2008.

The design team worked in conjunction with contractors, engineers, planners and the owners to achieve a modern residence to the client's satisfaction.

A feature of this development is the pool, built 6 metres above ground level along with the magnificent views that were captured by the design team for future occupants to enjoy inside and out of the home.

The photos show the construction of the pool above ground level, the views the occupants will receive from the pool level and the shape of the residence as it gets closes and closer to the final product.

A large factory complex in Templestowe that was documented by A1 Drafting is being constructed. This wall panel structure has four metre high panel retaining walls and 38 metre clear span portal frames. Our work at this site over the past ten years has included rezoning, town planning, title consolidation, sewer easement relocation, new sewer construction and building documentation.

A1 Drafting is currently preparing plans for a variety of unit developments in various municipalities such as Mooney Valley, Whitehorse, Banyule and Nillumbik. Each council has various methods of dealing with the planning procedure.
